How to clean your eye make-up brushes!

I have recently been looking for a great and easy way to clean my eye make-up brushes. After look at some Youtube tutorials I managed to stumble across this method where you just need to use Eye make-up remover. I tried it, and it worked! I now clean my eye brushes once a week depending on how often I use them. It is very important to clean your make-up brushes as bacteria builds up on them and could cause breakouts. I shall just say this now before I begin this tutorial; I haven't tried this on face brushes yet, Just eyes so I don't know how well it would work sorry. Anyway lets begin!

The three brushes I shall be cleaning today!

For this tutorial you will need some cotton pads (Mine are Sainsbury's basics range) and then eye make-up remover. Mine is the boots essentials cucumber range and retails for around £1.50.

Now put a pea-sized amount of your eye make-up remover onto the pad. You don't need to much!

Now just start swirling your brush in circular motions around the eye make-up remover. You will see the eye shadow from the brush coming off onto the pad!

Continue until the brush is clean.
NOTE: Your brush may be stained so it may not clean as well as you hoped. If this is the case you won't get your brushes back to being their original colour!

Repeat with your other brushes.

And the end result! Nice clean brushes which are ready to use next time you are applying eye makeup!

Thanks for reading!
